They can permit an increase in research on both retrospective and prospective data and thereby support aspirations of UK life sciences. The aim of TREs is to make data easier to access safely, to accelerate research. WebA trustworthy environment must engage with a wide range of people about how it operates, on an ongoing basis, rather than only communicating information about decisions already made. Complex technical requirements do not prevent engagement with members of the public, especially for evaluating the benefits of health data research.
